The 'Art of worship': Music is a tool for worship. You need two keys to minister: skill and the anointing. Every art is learnt, so study to show yourself approve. If an axe is blunt it requires more strength in cutting trees. Read Ps. 78:72. Every true minister need these two qualities to be effective. Integrity of heart and skilfulness of hands. David cared for the people with a true heart and led them with skillful hands.
Be diligent and work hard to excel. Seeth thou a man diligent in his business...(Prov. 22:29). A man's gift maketh room for him (Prov. 18:16). And once the gift makes the room for you, you need integrity of heart to keep you in that room. Note that every worship leader is like a shepherd leading a flock. Dont do things any how and say you are ministering. True worship becomes complete when it fulfills both the spirit and truth components. You cant do one and leave the other undone. You may minister with the spirit but dont ignore the understanding part.
