RELEASE THE KING IN YOU!

RELEASE THE KING IN YOU!

"Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king in thee? (Micah 4:9;KJV) I can't overemphasize the power God has deposited in you. It is so great that, it can bring death or cause you to live. For death and life are in the power of the tongue. Your words carry weight as a king, so mind the things you say. Naturally the mind gravitates towards negative things unless you make a conscious effort to have it stay on God. The Bible says: "Be ye transformed, by the renewing of your mind." It is wrong to look down upon yourself. You are an express image of the King of kings. You have royal blood and have power to rule. If Christ has been crowned Lord of all, and you are seated with Him in heavenly places, then you are no mere person. You have a king inside you. And when you begin to speak, no one has any right to question you. "Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto Him, What doest thou? "(Eccl. 8:4) Release yourself and let the king speak! AB@TWD

THERE IS A KING IN YOU!

THERE IS A KING IN YOU!

"And hath made us kings..."(Rev. 1:6,KJV) We see God's original plan for man in Genesis 1:26 when He said, "Let us make man in our image: and let them have DOMINION..." This is how God made you. He gave you the mandate to rule and dominate. When man fell that power was lost to the devil. Christ came and restored man to his original place to rule again. "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of KINGS of the earth...And hath made us KINGS..."(Rev. 1:5-6) You have been reinstated and the devil doesn't have any dominion over you. He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. As He is so are you in the world. The fact that you lost your place does not mean the king in you died. It is in your DNA and that is what God made you from creation. So let the king in you arise and take dominion over territories. "And hast made us unto our God kings...and we shall reign on the earth."(Rev. 5:10) Reign O King, reign! AB@TWD

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

"Whatever you do, do well..."(Eccl. 9:10;NLT) When God made man, He gave him some special abilities. There is a potential in every human being to achieve something great in life. The enemy knowing this is deceiving many into thinking that, they have nothing to offer. But God made man with so much potential, to show forth His glory in a spirit of excellence not mediocrity. Every hand is gifted in one way or the other, but the problem is that many people have not discovered what they were made to do. There is the copy-cat syndrome, where many are gravitating towards the things that appear to be popular, and neglecting their natural God-given abilities. No wonder many have failed and some are still failing. What are your abilities? In what do you find fulfillment? No matter what it may be, give it your best and see God multiply your efforts. It doesn't matter how small it may be, it is God who brings the increase. Do it and do it well! It is your seed for greatness. So cherish it! AB@TWD

DO YOU NEED ENCOURAGEMENT?

DO YOU NEED ENCOURAGEMENT?

"In the past you have encouraged many people; you have strengthen those who were weak. Your words have supported those who were falling; you encouraged those shaky knees. But now when trouble strikes you lose heart...(Job 4:3-5,NLT) People who mostly encourage others when they are down, can find it hard getting others to encourage them when they also face challenges. The mistake most people do is that, they always expect the very people they have encouraged, to also reciprocate. And most often than not, they get disappointed either because those people never show up or don't meet their expectation. The truth is that, not everyone has been gifted to encourage. It is a whole ministry and so lets save ourselves the trouble and stop taking offence. Sometimes when you are down, you must learn to encourage yourself in the Lord. If others come in, all the better. If they don't life still goes on, but never be disappointed. You can help yourself out and be strong. Be encouraged! AB@TWD

DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW!

DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW!

"I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day: the night cometh when no man can work."(Jn. 9:4,KJV) Many people are fond of procrastinating. They always want to push things to the next day even when it could be done today. What many fail to see is that, today is the yesterday they called tomorrow. What needs to be done must be done once we have today and not wait for a better day called tomorrow. No one has been promised tomorrow. It's absolutely a free gift from God and must be cherised and used wisely. Jesus stated clearly that, there was coming a time when no one would be able to do anything. Therefore it was prudent to do what He needed to do once He had the opportunity. What have you been postponding? What have you been procrastinating? "So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days."(Eph. 5:15-16,NLT) Tomorrow might be too late, therefore redeem the time! AB@TWD

IN WHOSE NAME?

IN WHOSE NAME?

"Then a demon-possessed man, who was blind and couldn't speak, was brought to Jesus. He healed the man so that he could speak and see. The crowd was amazed and asked, Could it be that Jesus is the Son of David, the Messiah? But when the Pharisees heard about the miracle, they said, No wonder he can cast out demons. He gets his power from Satan, the prince of demons. Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed...And if Satan is casting out Satan, he is divided and fighting against himself. His kingdom will not survive. And if I am empowered by Satan, what about your own exorcists?... But if I am casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you."(Mt. 12:22-28,NLT) All the Pharisees sought to do was to establish that Jesus had power from Satan to do His miracles. Thus casting out demons in the name of Satan. Many people have been deceived to follow such lies. But the name Jesus undoubtedly remains powerful! AB@TWD

IN THE NAME OF SATAN!

IN THE NAME OF SATAN!

Does it sound scary? For me it sounds funny and powerless! "But when the Pharisees heard about the miracle, they said, No wonder he can cast out demons. He gets his power from Satan, the prince of demons."(Mt. 12:24,NLT) Satan has since creation, desired to have a name above all names. And no matter how hard he has pushed for it, it has been in vain. He was described as the morning star and as if that was not enough, he was also the angelic guardian, but lost his place to pride. Since then, his main occupation has been to steal, kill and destroy. He deceived Adam and Eve and dispossessed them of the power they had and he tried to play that same old trick on Jesus, to have Him bow to him, but that failed. What would have happened should Jesus have obeyed all the commands the devil gave? I guess by now, people would been calling, "In the name of Satan" instead of IN THE NAME OF JESUS. But Jesus defeated Him and gave all of us His power, rendering the name of Satan powerless! AB@TWD

ARE YOU BEING LED?

ARE YOU BEING LED?

"Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil."(Mt.4:1,NLT) Why would God permit His Son to be tempted? Its just like the same way God asked the devil, "Have you considered my servant Job?" There is always a greater glory after the temptation. In God's divine agenda, Jesus had to go through this to show His readiness to begin His earthly ministry. It was not a pleasant experience, but for the will of God to be fulfilled , Jesus availed Himself. He knew that, the sufferings of that present time were not worthy to be compared to the glory that would be revealed in him. The devil couldn't have called Jesus to the wilderness. It was the Spirit that led Him there, and it was for a purpose. The devil may think he has you locked down. It could be your wilderness experience, but I see God giving you the tenacity and the power to overcome all such temptations. "The will of God will never take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us."-Billy Graham. AB@TWD

PASS THE TEST! (RELOADED)

PASS THE TEST! (RELOADED)

"If you are the Son of God..."(Mt. 4:3,KJV) Why would Satan ask such a question? I believe he wanted to use his old tricks on Jesus. He has nothing good and nothing new to offer. We are not ignorant of his devices. Satan sees the glory ahead, and will do everything possible to rob you of it. Even though, he knew who Jesus really was, and knew the power He carried, including turning stone into bread, Satan still asked: "If you say you are the Son of God..." But Jesus knew the old serpent too well to fall for his lies. He could have effortlessly turned the stone into bread, but there was no need to prove to the devil who He already was. And secondly, it wasn't the appointed time to start His miracles. Jesus also knew He had all the host of angels on His side, so casting Himself down from the mountain would make no sense. God had designed that all creation would bow to the name Jesus, but the devil wanted to deceive Jesus to bow to him first. Jesus passed the test. You too can! AB@TWD

PASS THE TEST!

PASS THE TEST!

There are great lessons to be learnt from Matthew 4. V3"If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." V6"If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, He will order His angels to protect you..." V9...I will give it all to you, he said, if you will kneel down and worship me." The enemy wanted to be sure if Jesus (the second Adam) knew who He really was and the authority He had. And that is the same way he will come to you. Here are the lessons: 1) Jesus didn't turn the stone into bread just to feed Himself. But when the right time came, He fed over 5000 men with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. 2) Jesus never jumped off the mountain, just to prove a point. But even after the devil had left Him, ministering angels came and took care of Him. 3) Jesus never bowed to Satan to worship him. But now has been given a name above all names. And at the mention of that name every knee shall bow. There is so much glory ahead. But can you pass the test? Think about it. AB@TWD

COME OUT OF THE FLESH!

COME OUT OF THE FLESH!

"So then they that are in the flesh can not please God."(Rom. 8:8;KJV) Our theme for today could raise some questions. One may ask, how can a person come out of their own flesh(body) and still live? That means there is another you you can not see i,e the nature of God in you which your optical eyes can't see. We are being admonished, not to allow our flesh to control us. So that means we have our flesh(sinful nature) on one side and our spirit(God's nature) on the other. V6 "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." Many people don't have peace of mind because they only think carnally. V7-8,NLT "For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, and it never will. That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature CAN NEVER PLEASE GOD. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature." Do you want to please God this year? Then I encourage you to come out of the flesh! AB@TWD

HOW TO KNOW GOD!

HOW TO KNOW GOD!

"Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for GOD IS LOVE."(1 Jn. 4:7-8,NLT) Many people see love as just a feeling. But from our text, we can see that, there is more to it. We know what true love is by turning to God. God doesn't have love, as manythink, He is love personified. That means in love, God is expressed. V12"No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love is brought to full expression in us." It goes beyond feelings. You cannot say you know God if you don't love, for God is love! It didn't say, God has love or God is like love, but God Himself is the embodiment of love. We are to know God and we can only know Him by loving one another. "...For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love."(Rom. 5:5) Your love will prove how much you know God! AB@TWD

"ARE YOU AN IDEAL WORSHIPER OR AN IDOL WORSHIPER?

"ARE YOU AN IDEAL WORSHIPER OR AN IDOL WORSHIPER?

1 John 5:21 "Little children, keep yourselves from Idols."(KJV) How can this be written for believers? Does that mean some people in the faith still worship idols? It is certainly possible, other than that John wouldn't have instructed us to KEEP OURSELVES AWAY FROM IDOLS. The NLT explains it much clearer. It says: "Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God's place in your hearts." Do you see how possible it is? We can allow some things to occupy the place where God must be enthroned. And that according to our text is idol worship. Simply anything that competes with the place of God in your life is an IDOL. Watch it! It could be anything or anybody. On the other hand, an Ideal(true) worshiper is one God is seeking to worship Him. Being ideal is being regarded as perfect. Nothing can take the place of God in the heart of an Ideal worshiper. For all he seeks to do is to please God by being perfect. And that's a true worshiper! Are you? AB@TWD

ARE YOU LESS BUSY?

ARE YOU LESS BUSY?

"Be anxious for nothing..."(Phil. 4:6) "Blessed is the person who is too busy to worry in the daytime, and too sleepy to worry at night."(Anon) So many people seem to be "less busy", and so the enemy takes advantage of that to cause them to worry about just anything. Why do you think God told Joshua to meditate on the book of the law day and night? And why would the Bible instruct us to pray without ceasing? When you obey these fully, there would be little or no time to worry about what you don't have. You must count all your blessings and name them one by one and you will have no time to sit idle and complain about what may have delayed in your life. There are so many things that we can occupy ourselves with as Christians which will curtail anxiety. Singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, encouraging each other in the Lord and spending time in fellowship with others. But the enemy will do everything possible to prevent you. He wants you to spend the same time worrying. Beware! AB@TWD

HAVE YOU TRIED GOD?

HAVE YOU TRIED GOD?

"And behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son IN HER OLD AGE: and this is the sixth month with her, WHO WAS CALLED BARREN. For with God nothing shall be impossible."(Lk. 1:36-37,KJV) What name have people given to you? Do those around you think your time has passed? What do you see as a limitation? My question is: Have you tried God? One of our goals this first month of the year is to build our faith to a level where nothing can hold us back from reaching where God has destined for us to be. Nothing can prevent us from enjoying all the blessings God has released for us in this season. The angel told Mary: Nothing is impossible WITH GOD. And that is the secret. All you need is to be one with God, by holding on to His promise and believing in Him. No one has ever had a partnership with God and failed. Have you tried Him? Taste and see that the Lord is good. Your future is as bright as the promises of God. Be one WITH GOD and nothing would be impossible to achieve. AB@TWD

WHO ARE YOU CONNECTED TO?

WHO ARE YOU CONNECTED TO?

"Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing."(John 15:5,NLT) This scripture goes to confirm what Paul meant when he said: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Christ did not come to give more strength to those who see themselves as strong. But rather tostrengthen the feeble hands and energize the weak. One must have a relationship with Jesus, just as illustrated with the vine and the branches. Jesus stated clearly: "...without me you can do nothing." Just like a branch can not bear fruit on its own unless it is connected to the vine. "...But the people that know their God, shall be strong, and do exploits."(Dan. 11:32) What do you hope to achieve this year? What is your greatest expectation? All your efforts in achieving any of those expectations will end up in futility without Jesus. But with Jesus in your boat, you can smile at any storm. Stay connected! AB@TWD

DIVINE SPEED ACTIVATED!

DIVINE SPEED ACTIVATED!

"Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab's chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel."(1 Kgs. 18:46,NLT) There are some things in life, unless by the power of God working in and through you, you can never accomplish them. It can be discouraging when you look at the distance you may have to cover to get to your destination. But I hear the Spirit of God saying: "Gird up your loins and get ready for take off." An anointing for divine speed has been released this year in every area of your life. Whatever slowed you down in your finances, marriage, career, ministry or academics has been removed. And now, it is time to ran with speed like a cheetah. It was miraculous how Elijah could run past a chariot drawn by fast horses in his effort to arrive at the place before it rained. It only took the Spirit of the Lord. Receive the strength from the Lord for divine accomplishments! On your marks,Get set, READY? AB@TWD

WHO DO YOU TURN TO?

WHO DO YOU TURN TO?

"The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring."(Isa. 58:11, NLT). The one you turn to when you are in need, is very crucial in determining how far you can go this year. Here are three things the Lord is going to do for you: 1) He will lead and guide you continually: You will never miss your way if you follow His lead. 2) He will satisfy your soul in drought: God is the source of living water that never runs dry. And can quench all your thirst and satisfy the longings of your heart. 3) He will restore your strength: The Psalmist wrote; "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" This means that, God will always be there for you, no matter the situation. Do you need guidance? Are you thirsty? Do you need strength? Then turn to the Lord, for He is more than able to help you. Shalom! AB@TWD

WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION?

WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION?

"Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this too is meaningless-like chasing the wind."(Eccl. 4:4,NLT) Everyone in the world has a desire to be successful in life. But what really is the motivation behind such desires? It is not bad to want to be successful. And in fact, God wishes above all things that you may prosper. But working hard to be successful just to prove a point to those who might have looked down on you is meaningless. We see in our text that, success motivated by envying a neigbour is just like chasing after the wind. You will catch nothing! God wants you to succeed, but wants you to do so with the right motive and also through the right means. This year, your success is guaranteed, so don't allow any spirit of envy to rule you. God is working with a plan, and once you follow through with it, you are assured of safe landing. Don't fret; stay calm and check your motives. You are already a success! AB@TWD

QUANTUM LEAP SERIES(2): GOD'S STRATEGY:

QUANTUM LEAP SERIES(2): GOD'S STRATEGY:

"For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I LEAPED OVER a wall."(2 Sam. 22:30,KJV) Anytime God makes a promise, then it means He has already planned how to make it happen. Yesterday, David acknowledged that by His God, he has run through a troop and has also leaped over a wall. It means that, by God, he had been able to overcome what stood previously as challenge on the way to his promise. The same thing happened when the Israelites reached Jericho, on their way to the promised land. Jericho was the gate to Canaan, and for them to get to Canaan, they had to destroy Jericho and bring down its walls. But God gave Joshua specific instructions. They were to go round the city for six days, and on the seventh day compass it seven times. Afterwards they were to shout with a great shout and the walls would fall down flat. This was how they leaped over the walls of Jericho;....By their God! In this year, may you follow God's instructions. He has a plan! AB@TWD

NEW YEAR MESSAGE: IS TODAY REALLY NEW?

NEW YEAR MESSAGE: IS TODAY REALLY NEW?

"...But be ye transformed, by the RENEWING of your mind..." (Rom. 12:2,KJV) Almost every person who is alive today has entered the year with hope to see new things happen in their life. But what is really new about today? Is it the time, date, or something else? What matters most is that we have a new mindset in our way of life. Man's mind is one of the most difficult areas to change. People can become accustomed to a particular way of thinking that, any attempt to cause them to have a change of mind can prove futile. There is a way, THAT MAY SEEM RIGHT TO MAN, but the end may lead to death. Therefore in this first day of this new year, renew your mind and think about things that are profitable. Last year may have had its own challenges, but you have an opportunity to start all over again; to make every wrong right and to work at becoming a better person. There's nothing new under the sun. What you need to renew is your mind. Happy new year! ~TWD family.

QUANTUM LEAP SERIES(1): BEGIN WITH GOD.

QUANTUM LEAP SERIES(1): BEGIN WITH GOD.

"For thou art my lamp, O Lord: and the Lord will lighten my darkness."(2 Sam. 22:29,KJV) God became so many things to David, because of the intimate relationship David had with Him. David saw Him as his glory and the lifter up of his head. God was his shepherd, shield, defender, restorer and many more. And in our text for today, David wrote: "O Lord, you aremy lamp..."(V29,NLT) How do you also see God? And how do you relate to Him? As you have began the year, may you go deeper in your relationship with God. There is a testimony David shared in the text. He said, "For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I LEAPED OVER a wall."(V30,KJV) The NLT puts it this way: "...with my God I can SCALE ANY WALL." There is a divine escalation for you this year, and you shall see increase. But you need God! Just as David said: "By my God...", so must your confession be. There will be a quantum leap, if only you involve GOD. No more crawling. Its time to LEAP! AB@TWD
