NO SHORT-CUTS WITH GOD

Exodus 13:17 "When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them along the MAIN ROAD that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the SHORTEST ROUTE to the Promised Land. God said, 'If the people are faced with a battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt." We truly serve a wise God. In man's own carnal wisdom He would have concluded that once God had dealt with their first enemy, the one ahead was a done deal. But God applied a different strategy by averting the enemy and taking them through another route, which appeared to be much longer than the one through the enemy's land. God doesnt want us to use shortcuts in getting to our promise land. Sometimes the wise thing to do is to avoid the enemy and not try to fight them by yourself, if God is changing your route. Because once you are faced with a challenge beyond your capacity to handle, you might change your mind and return to where and what you have been saved from. The battle is the Lord's.@ABTru-worshipa
