DARE TO ENTER!

Title: Dare to enter
Scripture: Heb. 10:19-22(NLT).

"And so, dear brothers and sister, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God's house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water."

One major thing that prevents many from entering into God's Holy presence is the guilt of sin. That was the reason for the cross. "Without the shedding of blood, there would be no forgiveness." Once the blood has been shed, forgiveness is yours. Now you have access to go before God in boldness. Your own righteous can't help you. Accept the work Jesus has done on the cross. I dare you to enter: HE IS ALIVE!@ABTruworshipa. For more of such messages, kindly visit http://abtru-worshipa@gmail.com

IT IS FINISHED!

Title:It is finished!
Scripture: John 19:30

"When Jesus had tasted it, he said, "It is finished!..."

I would want to share some insights I had with us. There is no doubt the things Jesus went through were painful. He was God who came in the form of man to suffer many things for our sake. He was despised, persecuted, insulted and beaten but yet at the cross he chose His words carefully. Jesus was given a bitter substance to take when He requested for water. And after He tasted it He said "It is finished!" Watch the phrase carefully. Jesus never said "I am finished" as many of us do when we taste something bitter in life. What could Jesus be referring to at that point in time?

Read this: "For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ."(2 Cor. 5:21). He had an assignment. So after He was done, He could say IT IS FINISHED! Never say "I am finished" He's done it all!

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHEN YOU STARTED!

Title: It doesn't matter when you started!
Scripture: Matthew 20:1-13

Some people have the notion that, because they've been in church for sometime, they deserve certain blessings(wages) than others who just joined. But am sorry it doesn't work that way.

"For the Kingdom of Heaven is like the landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard. He agreed to pay the normal daily wage and sent them out to work."

Other workers were called at different times to join them. But the problem arose when it was pay-time. Those who started earlier in the morning thought it was unfair to be paid the same as those who came in late.

But "He answered one of them, 'Friend, I haven't been unfair! Didn't you agree to work all day for the usual wage? Take your money and go. I wanted to pay this last worker the same as you. Is it against the law for me to do what I want with my money?" Jesus has died to give us an equal chance. It doesn't matter when you started. We all deserve His LOVE! @ABtruworshipa. WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?

Title: What are you hiding?
Scripture: Psalm 139:1-6, (MSG)

"God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I'm an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I'm thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I'm never out of your sight. You know everything I'm going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and you're there, then up ahead and you're there too-your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful-I can't take it all in!"

Sometimes we assume certain things are of less importance to God. And He doesn't really pay attention to details because He has a lot of things to take care of. But from the above scripture, the Psalmist makes it clear that, God actually knows every little detail about our personal life. Down to even the lies we are yet to tell. Never underestimate His omniscience. You have nothing to hide as far as God is concerned. So open up to Him this Easter! @ABTruworshipa. BE A FOOL TO SHOW YOUR WISDOM!

Title: Be a fool to show your wisdom
Scripture: Phil. 2:3-6, NLT

"Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don't look out for your own interests, but take an interest in others too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to."

Some people think they are so smart to always take you for granted. Don't allow them to destroy your personality, change your mood or distract your vision. Never try to please or impress anyone. I have realised that, it is even a bit more eazier to please God than it is to please men. "And it is impossible to please God without faith"(Heb. 11:6). Therefore you can please God once you have faith. But what about men? Just look out for their best interest and let them call you a fool if they want to. They would later realise how wise you were. Never try to impress them! @ABTruworshipa. For more of such message kindly visit http://abtru-worshipa.blogspot.com

DO YOU REMEMBER HOW FAR YOU'VE COME?

Title: Do you remember how far you've come?
Scripture: Psalm 78:70,72

"He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds:
So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands." Many people want to get into big positions before they show their true potential. But I see that such people never get to those places. How would you be given much if you are even not faithful with the little you have now? The Bible records that "David guarded the sheep with his very life" and was willing to sacrifice everything to make sure they were safe. Were they human beings? No. So that showed the kind of heart he had. If he could do such a thing for mere animals, then he could even do more for his fellow human being. David knew where he was picked from, so he had a true heart for his sheep. What's in your care now? And how are you handling it? Remember how far you've come! Integrity&Skilfulness @  ABTruworshipa. WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

Title: What is your purpose?
Scripture: Proverbs 20:18a

"Plans succeed through counsel"(NLT). "Form your purpose by asking for counsel"(MSG). "Purposes and plans are established by counsel"(AMP). "Every purpose is established by counsel"(KJV). You can see from the various translations that, for you to fulfill your purpose or be able to carry out your plans, you would need counsel. And in the multitude of counsellors, there is safety. But many young folks today, want to do things their own way. "You can make many plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail."(Prov. 19:21). Sometimes we run around so busy trying to do almost everything, without really finding out what we have been assigned, called or gifted to do. Once we discover it, we live a fulfilled life. But until then, we can really be frustrated. Let the Holy spirit teach and counsel you and also take advice from those who have gone ahead of you. BEWARE OF VAMPIRES (2)

Title: Beware of vampires!
Scripture: Prov. 19:4, (NLT)

"Wealth makes many friends, poverty drives them all away." Why am I sharing this with us today? I see some serious financial doors opened for some people reading this message. It is good to alert them, in the form of an encouragement and as a warning. The rich easily get friends, and if they are not vigilant, some wolves would come in sheep skin to devour the blessing they have received. Someone might argue, 'but God protects us?' I agree perfectly, but He equally has given us wisdom to know who to hang out with. "Blessed(happy) is the man, who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly..."(Ps. 1:1). Honey attracts bees and so is wealth. Once you get it, you would also have some uninvited guests in your arena to deal with. You need wisdom to make the right choices and decisions at those crucial times. I see a great and effective door before you, but the adversaries are many. So beware of those vampires! @ABTruworshipa. O GOD, WHY ME?

Title: Why me God?
Scripture: Isaiah 3:10, (NLT)

"Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned!" Someone may ask, what if in reality all is not well? And my question would be, what is the reality? What is more real than the word of God which is truth? Nothing was made in this world without it. The word is quick and active! Jesus said "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life."(Jn. 6:63). Your consciousness of this truth, would save you from a lot of frustration in life. The world tells you to face reality. It overwhelms you, then you give up. But when you encounter truth, you then discover the difference. Reality tells you, you are poor. And truth tells you, let the poor say I am rich. It's a higher life. Never say, why me? Learn to say it is well, despite what may be happening! That would change things. @ABTruworshipa.

WHAT IF YOU WERE JOB?

"But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold."(Job 23:10). In our Christian walk, trials may come, but they are for a far more exceeding glory. For the thoughts God has for us are only good. Even though we may not be seeing any progress now, God would surely bring us to an expected end.(Jer. 29:11). I love how James puts it, "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow."(Jam. 1:2-3).

ARE YOU SOWING IN TEARS?

Title: Are you sowing in tears?
Scripture: Eccl. 11:1

Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you." This is almost the same as saying "you reap what you sow." And he that sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly. And he that sows bountifully shall reap bountifully. Its good to invest; and most importantly in people. Because you might need them in one way or the other sooner or later. It would certainly cost you something if you decide to do it. But "Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They would weep as they go to plant their seed, but they would sing as they return with the harvest. (Ps. 126:5-6). Don't give up if you are in your sowing season now and it doesn't look profitable. Whether it is in your relationship, your academics, your ministry, your family and career. I assure you that it would not be in vain. Sow in tears today, and reap in joy tomorrow. I decree your season of joy!  @ABTruworshipa.

DON'T FOLLOW THE CROWD BUT FOLLOW THE CLOUD (2)

Title: Don't follow the crowd but follow the cloud (2)
Scripture: (Num. 9:17-18, NLT)

"When the cloud lifted from over the sacred tent, the people of Israel followed it. And wherever the cloud settled, the people of Israel camped. In this way, they travelled at the Lord's command and stopped wherever he told them to" (Num. 9:17-18, NLT). The people of Israel moved when the cloud moved. When it rested in a place, they also rested there until it moved again. They had to daily observe the cloud because they never knew when it would change direction. They were in the desert and didn't know the way. The people depended on the cloud to keep them from getting lost or taking the wrong turn. God used the cloud to inform His people when they should move, in what direction and when to stop. It was crucial! "Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying. 'This is the way, walk in it,' Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left. (Isa. 30:21). @ABTruworshipa. For more of such messages: Visit http://abtru-worshipa.blogspot.com

DON'T FOLLOW THE CROWD BUT FOLLOW THE CLOUD.

Title: Don't follow the crowd but follow the cloud
Scripture(Exo. 13:21, NIV)

"The Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way."
It is very important to know who we are following in life's journey. Because if we are not careful we would get to the end of the road and realise we joined the wrong train. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to take the lead so that we follow. This reminds me of an interesting story I once heard of two people who were running to catch a train, that was almost leaving. One of them was able to jumb into it and the other was left behind. To the utter dismay of the people around, the one who was left behind started laughing. And when he was asked why, he said "that guy on the train was just escorting me." So apparently he would't know where he would even land. It could happen to us too anytime. But we should let the pillar of cloud guide us on our way always. Follow the cloud not the crowd! @ABTruworshipa. For more of such messages: Visit http://abtru-worshipa.blogspot.com

PEER PRESSURE!

Eccl. 12:1 "Don't let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, "Life is not pleasant anymore." In a fast growing and technological age, it is likely if not impossible to be carried away by stuff and activities that, we may have little or no time for God. But no matter the world's trend and its advancement, God is even far more ahead.

THERE IS A WAY OUT!

1 Cor. 10:13 "The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure."(NLT). There is clearly no battle that is beyond you. If it was, God would not allow it to come your way. Do not think God is unaware of your situation. He knows your capacity as a winner because He put your members together and knows the very things you can handle.

HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF?

Isa. 55:5 "You also will command nations you do not know, and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey, because I, the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious." We learnt in Isaiah 43:13 that, no one can undo what God has done. So how do you see yourself even after God has told you He has made you glorious? Do you accept the public opinion, or you take His word as your companion? "

ITS A SET UP!

Ezekial 17:24 "And all trees will know that it is I, the Lord, who cuts tall tree down and makes the short tree grow tall. It is I who make the green tree wither and gives the dead tree life. I, the Lord have spoken, and I will do what I said."(NLT). Some people may have had advantage over you due to their abilities or the contacts they had. They might have gone ahead of you in life and thus see you as good for nothing. But God is assuring you of what He has already done and not even what He is yet to do. He says "all the trees will know...".

ARE YOU STILL SLEEPING?

Some people have gotten to a point where they feel God must be answerable to the perplexing issues in their life. They may ask if every good and perfect gift comes from God, then where from the bad and ugly? My answer is very simple: "...But from the beginning it was not so."(Matt.19:8). "But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way."(Matt. 13:25).

"NOTHING SHALL GO WRONG"

Isaiah 43:13 "From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done." I find these words very comforting. Because it assures me that, God has an eye on me and that nothing can go wrong under His watch. Check out this one too in Daniel 3:20;22;24 "Then the King ordered some of the STRONGEST MEN of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the BLAZING FURNACE.

YOU NEED R.E.S.T!

Many people work tirelessly but fail to take time off to rest. They are overburdened with the issues of life. So Jesus said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you REST." (Matt. 11:28). B...ut the R.E.S.T am presenting to you today is one I discovered in Psalm 37:1-7 and the key words are Relax.Enjoy.Submit.Trust. "Don't worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong(relax). For like grass, they soon fade away. Like spring flowers, they soon wither.... Take delight in the Lord(enjoy), and He will give you your heart's desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord(submit). Trust Him, and He will help you(trust)."

ENERGY DRINK FOR YOUR SOUL!

Isaiah 43:2 "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you." The scripture didn't say, we shall not go through deep waters or the rivers of difficulty. Neither did is say we shall escape the fire of oppression.

"FOUR KINDS OF WORSHIPERS" Which one are you?

In as much as worship is important in our lives as Christians, the way it must be done is equally important. Many of us do a lot thinking it is acceptable worship but never look out for the right way it must be done. For Jesus Himself to talk on this topic and show the right way it must be done shows the importance of it not to Him (alone), but the father who is seeking for those who would worship in this prescribed way.

Because Jesus knew how we can please the father (in our worship) better than any of us, He talked on the subject of worship in John 4. He also went ahead to reject some of the ways some people in His days were going about it and thinking it was acceptable.

Paul, who  became one of the greatest apostles and was  recorded to have said “learn from me as I learnt from Christ”, found out that some of the people in his day were also going about this in the wrong way. He also confronted them as Jesus did.

What I am also doing simply is that, I am not in a position of rejecting anyone’s worship (because I am not a worship expert and even dare not) but I am humbly presenting us four groups of worshipers that any of us can fall in, and the need to re-examine our worship (based on these case studies) and get it done in the acceptable way.

  • The first group is the VAIN WORSHIPERS:
These kind of worshipers were described by Jesus in Matthew 15. He said
“7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:  8 “These people honor me with their lips,    but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain;    their teachings are merely human rules.” (NIV)
We become this kind of worshipers when our heart is not in what we are doing but we are merely going through the motions. We may sing songs, play music, jump about and a whole lot, but if our heart is not in whatever we are doing, we are nothing but vain worshipers who are following human set rules and getting our way through to worship but not seeking to please the father.
  •  The second group is the IGNORANT WORSHIPERS:
These group of worshipers know not what they worship as Jesus told the Samaritan woman in John 4 “22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know…”. Paul also made mention of these kind of worshipers in Acts 17:
22 Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.”
Whenever we worship without understanding what we are doing, we become ignorant worshipers. Paul once said “I worship with my spirit and I worship with my understanding…” This means our intellect and whole minds must be involved in our worship, so that we don’t do anything we don’t understand, focusing on other things than God-as we worship.

  • The third group is the SELF-IMPOSED WORSHIPERS:

These are also known as willful worshipers. Paul once again described such worshipers in Colossians 2.
22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. 23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.”
This group is made up of those who do what they think is prudent and wise to do forsaking the right way. They run on their human wisdom and pretend to be doing the right things as a result of following traditions but are satisfying their individual desires.
We should not come to worship with our own presumptions or assumptions, thinking God will gladly accept it. It is a good thing to worship the father, but it is best to do it His way. If we try to do it based on our will, then would have been better off not to have done it at all.
  • The fourth and last group is the TRUE WORSHIPERS:
Much may not be said about this latter group, since we might have heard about them a lot of times. But, these were the group described by Jesus in John 4, and even added that the father was in search of them to worship Him. This is to say that not only do they worship in the right way, but also they were being sought for by the father to worship. Is it not amazing that God Himself, as all-sufficient as He is, would be seeking for a particular group of worshipers to worship Him? Jesus clearly stated in John 4:
23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
These are “the kind of worshipers the father seeks”. This means by extension that, there are other kinds of worshipers (possibly some of which have been described earlier) which He is not only displeased with but does not also seek for.
The choice is yours to decide today what kind of worshiper you would become.
I desire to be a true worshiper-the one the father seeks and not any other kind of worshiper.
What kind of worshiper are you?

DOES IT SOUND FOOLISH?

Col. 3:16-17 "Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all wisdom he gives....And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus...." If the word of God dwells in us fully, there are somethings we might not say or do. But the issue is, either the word falls by the road side, on the rocks or in thorns.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS WRITTEN?

What do you do when you go through difficult times and it looks like all odds are against you? When it almost feels like the devil Himself is standing right on your shoulders, and saying things just to frustrate you? There is one sure way to get out of such a situation and that's the same method Jesus applied when He was also tempted of the devil. To tell the devil what has been written in the word of God.

DON'T TRADE YOUR WORSHIP TO THE DEVIL!

Someone may be wondering, where from this? It may sound unimaginable but it is very possible. The devil is not concerned about how many times you fast and pray in a week, or how many Bible verses you can memorize. He is in to steal, kill and destroy your worship too. Because He knows God is glorified whenever you worship Him. He would therefore offer you a pleasant proposal intended to deceive you. But never trade your worship for temporal worldly pleasures.

YOU ARE SPECIAL TO US!

2 Cor. 8:9 "You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich." Why would someone go all out to do this, if not for LOVE? To become poor, so that someone else would enjoy? This is a bit unusual. But that was the extent to which our Saviour went.

THERE IS A KING INSIDE OF YOU!

Eccl. 8:4 "Where the word of a KING is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?" A King has the authority to command, rule, decree and legislate. And as a king you have dominion over all creation, to name things and situations, and also call those things that be not as though they were. To decree a thing and it shall be established. To bind and lose anything on earth and it shall be so too in heaven.

YOU TIRED ALREADY?

Jer. 12:5 "If racing against mere men makes you tired, how will you race against horses? If you stumble and fall on open ground, what will you do in the thickets near the Jordan?"(NLT). The difficulties we face sometimes, are meant to bring out the virtue in us. There is a treasure in this earthen vessel (your body), and it may require a little bit of pressure to release it.
