WHAT DO YOU KNOW?

Title: What do you know?

Scripture: Matthew 8:24-27, NLT

"Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" Jesus responded, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith! Then he got up and rebuked the wind and the waves, and suddenly there was great calm. The disciples were amazed. "WHO IS THIS MAN?" they asked. "Even the winds and the waves obey him!"

Did the disciples really ask who Jesus was? Does it mean they didn't know him, even though they were with him? It is very true you can be with someone and still not KNOW him or her. Your knownledge of who God is, will show in how you react in the stormy days. 

Even though the disciples had been with Jesus for some time, they still did not know he had the ability to calm the sea. We too like them,  sometimes ask questions like; "could this be God?" But God says:"Be still and KNOW that I am God..."(Ps. 46:10). You really need to KNOW! AB@TWDevotional
