FROM PILLOW TO PILLAR

Title: From pillow to pillar

Scripture: Genesis 28:11-13

"At sundown he arrived at a good place to set up camp and stopped there for the night. Jacob found a stone to rest his head against and lay down to sleep. As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from the earth up to the heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway. At the top of the stairway stood the Lord, and he said, "I am the Lord...The ground you are lying on BELONGS TO YOU. I am giving it to you and your descendants."

The very place you put your weary head could be the same place where you will have a visitation. But how can you sleep on a rock(as hard as it may be) and have a vision with an open heaven? Jacob thought He was just using a stone as his pillow, but that was the spiritual rock-Jesus his pillar. You may also be uncomfortable where you are sleeping, but that would be a place where you would catch a revelation. A ladder would be released to transport you FROM where you are TO where you have to be! AB@TWDevotional
