ARE YOU STRIKING OR SPEAKING?

Title: Are you striking or speaking?
Scripture: Number 20:7-9,11-12 NLT

"And the Lord said to Moses, You and Aaron must take the staff and assemble the entire community. As the people watch, SPEAK to the rock over there, and it will pour out its water. You will provide enough water from the rock to satisfy the whole community and their livestock. So Moses did as he was told. He took the staff from the place where it was kept before the Lord. Then Moses raised his hand and STRUCK the rock twice with the staff, and water gushed out. But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, Because you did not TRUST ME ENOUGH...you will not lead them into the land I am giving them!

Whenever you bypass what God originally told you and do things your own way, you may get results though, but you may not get to the next level. You may see the future right before you, but you wouldn't step into it. Partial obedience is equally disobedience! What have you been asked to do? Are you trusting God enough? Are you striking instead of speaking?

Many of us have become "STRIKERS" instead of "SPEAKERS". There are some situations that we must speak to and not strike at. If you have a rock infront of you, God says speak unto that mountain and it shall be moved. But sometimes we think we are smart, so we decide to strike instead. What we don't know is that, we could exert more energy in the striking than in speaking. One time Moses struck a rock and had water. But this time the instruction was: SPEAK TO THE ROCK. But Moses thought of sticking to the old plan. He struck the rock twice and had the same results but incurred the displeasure of God.

What is deceiving most of us is that, we think as long as we're getting results its cool. But is it what God said? You can be anointed but still miss your promise land because of doing things your way. Don't be left out on what God is doing in our generation. There is a wind blowing and that requires you stay in tune with the spirit. Be alert!
