"Then Jesus told them, A prophet is honored everywhere EXCEPT in his own hometown and among his own family."(Matt. 13:57,NLT) It is very sad how a person's gift can be rejected; not by anyone but his own people. "Your enemies will be right in your own household."(Matt. 10:36,NLT) Unfortunately this is happening in our days just as it did in the days of Jesus. Some people can not seem to come to terms with the fact that, the same person they have been around with is being such a blessing. The Jews thought they knew Jesus too well for Him to be performing such miracles. They wondered how the son of a carpenter can be the Messiah at the same time. "Didn't you ever read this in the Scriptures? The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. This is the LORD's doing, and it is wonderful to see?"(Mark 12:10-11,NLT) If you have also been rejected in anyway, keep being a blessing.
