"No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house."(Luke 11:33, NLT)
We see from the above scripture that, scarcely will a person light a candle and hide it under a table. It is rare! But lets paint another picture by replacing the light in our scripture with knowledge. When one gets knowledge or becomes enlightened in any field, the best thing would be to share and not to hide it from others. The same way light is put on a stand to be seen by all who enter the house. But what we mostly see among many people is that, they keep "their light" or "their knowledge" to themselves. Your light(knowledge) must be placed on a stand, where it can benefit those who come into contact with you. "You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop cannot be hidden."(Matt. 5:14) Are you hiding? Arise, shine; for thy light is come. Shine your light and let the whole world see!
