ARE YOU A GOD-SEEKER?

Title: Are you a God-seeker?
Scripture: Songs of Solomon 3:1-4, NLT

"One night as I lay in bed, I yearned for my lover. I yearned for him, but he did not come. So I said to myself, I will get up and roam the city, searching in all its streets and squares. I will search for the one I love. So I searched everywhere but did not find him. The watchmen stopped me as they made their rounds and I asked, 'Have you seen the one I love?' Then scarcely had I left them when I found my love! I caught and held him tightly, then brought him to my mother's house..."

One charge David gave to Solomon was that, "if thou seek Him, He will be found of thee."(1 Chro. 28:9) "...but they that SEEK the Lord shall not lack any good thing."(Ps. 34:10) And God says: "I love those who love me; and those who SEEK ME EARLY shall find me."(Prov. 8:17) What and Who are you seeking after? Sometimes all you need to do is to get up from your comfort zone and search for the one you love. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God..." Is Jesus the lover of your soul? AB@TWDevotional

STAY IN THE HOUSE!

Title: Stay in the house
Scripture: Luke 15:11-13, NLT

"Jesus told them this story: A man had two sons. The younger son told his father, I want MY SHARE of your estate NOW before you die...A few days later this son packed all his belongings and moved to a distant land, and there he wasted all his money in wild living."

The problem with the younger son wasn't that he needed money. In fact his father had more than enough to even cater for their servants. The son lacked two things: VISION and KNOWLEDGE. In his own mind he perceived it would be better to get his inheritance now that the father was alive. He thought the father may die soon. If not why would he ask for his share of the property?

"Where there is no vision, the people perish." "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." What the enemy seeks to do is to trouble you and make you restless. You may become so frustrated that you go to your father and ask for your inheritance. But never fall for his tricks. Don't be pressured. Stay in the house! AB@TWDevotional

BUT I DIDN'T MEAN IT?

Title: But I didn't mean it?
Scripture: Numbers 14:28, NLT

"Then the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, How long must I put up with this wicked community and its complaints about me? Yes, I have heard the complaints the Israelites are making against me. Now tell them this: AS SURELY AS I LIVE, DECLARES THE LORD, I WILL DO TO YOU THE VERY THINGS I HEARD YOU SAY."

Have you carefully considered some of the things you say? What we sometimes say is, "but even God knows I'm kidding with this one..." And who said God wants you to kid with him? Your tongue carries so much power, and before you know it you may have destroyed a lot of things with it, before God comes in.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue.." People just say anything, murmur and complain about almost everything. The accuser of the brethren picks those negative words and uses them against you. If God is saying, He would do whatever He hears you saying, why don't you say good things into His ears instead? God takes you serious so stop kidding with him! AB@TWDevotional

ITS A SET UP!

Topic: Its a set up!
Scripture: Ezekiel 17:24, NLT

"And all trees will know that it is I, the Lord, who cuts the tall tree down and makes the short tree grow tall. It is I who makes the green tree wither and gives the dead tree new life. I, the Lord have spoken, and I will do what I said."

Some people may have had advantage over you due to their abilities or their connections. They might have gone ahead of you in life and so see you as good for nothing. But God is assuring you of what He has already done and not what He is yet to do. He says "all trees will know...". It means what He has set Himself to do for you will be too obvious to be overlooked. You shall get attention due to your testimony.

There is an upliftment right infront of you and God is bringing life into every dead situation in your career, marriage, relationship, ministry and family. He will cut down any stubborn tree around you to make room for your growth and expansion. God is setting you up to lift you up. You shall grow and multiply. I believe! AB@TWDevotional

MORE FIRE?

MORE FIRE?

"From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done." (Isa. 43:13,NLT)

Once we are under God's constant watch, nothing shall go wrong. Read
Daniel 3:20;22;24:
Then the king ordered some of the STRONGEST MEN of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the BLAZING FURNACE. The king in his anger had asked that the fire be heated seven times more. The soldiers(the strongest men) who were asked to throw the three Hebrew friends(who were seen as so weak) into the fire were killed by the heat before they even got there. But SUDDENLY, Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and exclaimed to his advisers, Didn't we tie up three men and throw them in the furnace? Yes your majesty, we certainly did, they replied."

He could see a fourth person in the fire. People will be wondering why you haven't been burnt in the furnace of your afflictions and you shall tell them "My God is a consuming fire, and He is here with me." AB@TWDevotional

YOU CAN'T IMPRESS GOD!

YOU CAN'T IMPRESS GOD!

"...Martha Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her."(Luke 10:41-42)

Some people go to church, and instead of focusing on Jesus, they try to make an impression. Our prime objective these days is shifting from fellowship with one another and developing an intimate relationship with our Lord to engaging in some "unnecessary" activities. People now compare the one who sings or plays some musical instrument better than the other. Or the one with the best dress or hairstyle.

Therefore ministering unto Jesus has become secondary as far as they are concerned. That was exactly what Martha was doing when Jesus visited their house. She wanted to IMPRESS Jesus with her cooking skills, instead of making time to be with Him. Mary on the other hand, sat right at the feet of Jesus and did the needful by receiving from Him. Never try to impress God. Just do the needful! AB@TWDevotional

THERE IS SURELY A WAY OUT!

THERE IS SURELY A WAY OUT!

"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And GOD IS FAITHFUL. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure."(1 Cor. 10:13, NLT)

There is clearly no challenge that is beyond you. If there is, God wouldn't allow it to come your way. Don't think God is not aware of your predicaments. He knows the exact situation you are in right now. But He is also fully aware of your capacity as a winner because He put your members together and knows the very things you can handle. The Bible says "And God is faithful..." Therefore He can't say one thing and do the other.

And He is telling you today, there is a way out. What you are going through might be tough, but there is still an even more greater potential inside you, that can combat it. There is always a way out! AB@TWDevotional

WHAT A SHOCK!

WHAT A SHOCK!

"Thus saith the Lord God; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him."(Ez. 21:26-27,KJV).

I can sense a lifting for many people in this season. God is about promoting you into certain positions, to make way for you to have your inheritance. "But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions."(Oba. 1:17) The season of your many struggling is over. You shall weep no more.

Hear ye the word of the Lord to you today: "The houses will be richly stocked with goods you did not produce. You will draw from cisterns you did not dig, and you will eat from vineyards and olives trees you did not plant.(Deut. 6:11) People would just love to be good to you. What God is about to do for you, will put you in a state of shock. AB@TWDevotional

YOU ARE JUST ONE DECISION AWAY!

Title: You are just one decision away!
Scripture: Joshua 2:1-5

"...So the two men set out and came to the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there that night. But someone told the king of Jericho, "Some Israelites have come here tonight to spy out the land. So the king of Jericho sent orders to Rahab: Bring out the men...Rahab had hidden the two men, but she replied, Yes the men were here earlier, but I didn't know where they were from. They left the town at dusk, as the gates were about to close. I don't know where they went."

Just one decision we make in life, can change our whole destiny. You certainly have the power of choice to make a whole difference in your life. Many of us may have written Rahab off because she was a harlot. But Rahab showed the good heart she had, by saving the lives of the spies even to her own hurt. Because of that decision, God spared her and her whole family from destruction. Rahab is later mentioned as part of the genealogy of Jesus. What decision are you also making? AB@TWDevotional

EAT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!

Title: Eat as much as you can
Scripture: 1 Kings 19:7-8

"Then the angel of the Lord came again and touched him and said, Get up and eat some more, or the journey ahead will be too much for you. So he got up and ate and drank, and the food gave him enough strength to travel forty days and forty nights to Mount Sinai, the mountain of God."

The new level God is taking you demands that you have enough strength. And talking about strength, we are not only implying the strength that comes from the intake of some physical meal. "...It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matt. 4:4) The food for the spirit is the WORD OF GOD. Your spirit must be healthy to sustain your body.

To start any journey without God's word, could be detrimental. Therefore there is the need to "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;" (Col 3:16). Make sure you are full of it. For you would surely need it where you are headed. Eat more to gain strength! AB@TWDevotional

ARE YOU SUFFERING FROM AN EGYPT-MENTALITY?

Title: Are you suffering from an Egypt-mentality?
Scripture: Numbers 13:33

"And there we saw the giants...and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight."

I am not so much afraid of what others may think of me as much as what I think of myself. I can easily be paralyzed by the thoughts I hold inside more than what is from outside. "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." You can't think you are poor and become rich. It's an Egypt-mentality! The root cause of many of the problems we see around is in the MIND! The slave mentality has dominated many so much that, they always think defeat is inevitable as far as they are concerned.

Life always seems unconquerable to a slave, therefore don't become a slave. An Egypt-Mentality is seen in the way we see ourselves, how we view and react to challenges, and how we deal with discouragements. But Christ has set us free and no more are we slaves to sin. We are more than conquerors. Every mindset trying to enslave you is destroyed! Be released! AB@TWDevotional

YOU HAVE NO CLUE!

YOU DON'T HAVE A CLUE!

1 Corinthians 2:9 "However, as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"(NIV). "That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him."(NLT).

The things that God has planned, prepared and designed to do for those who love him, eyes haven't seen, ears have heard, neither has anyone thought of it. Therefore what you may be SEEING is just temporal and cannot be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in you. What you may be HEARING is not a great testimony enough to make people stop and ask, who is this person? What may be in your heart is not big enough to scare you to do things which others may think its impossible.

God has a lot for you, but there is a condition: You must Love the Lord. You have no idea of what God is about to do for you. Don't pretend you know, because you have no clue! AB@TWDevotional

WHAT CHOICE WOULD YOU MAKE?

Title: What choice would you make?
Scripture: Deuteronomy 30:19

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live."

Whatever choices we make here on earth; be it good or bad affect not only us but the generations yet unborn, either positively or otherwise. One thing God has left in our control is our freedom to choose. And unless we invite Him in, God won't interrupt. And He is always ready to validate whatever choices we make. God always gives man the opportunity to choose, but makes sure to suggest to us the right way to go. He never push things down our throat.

The power to live or to die has been planted on your tongue. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."(Prov. 18:21) What you say is what you become, so choose your words carefully. By the things you say, you either live or die. The choice is yours! Innocentia@TWDevotional

YOU WERE FORMED BEFORE YOU BECAME

Title: You were formed before you became!
Scripture: Genesis 2:7, NLT

"Then the Lord God FORMED the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nostrils, and the man BECAME a living person."

Some people want to become what they were not formed to be. It can lead to frustration. Anything that was ever made or created was originally formed as a thought. Then it was put into action, to bring into being something new. God placed in each of us the very things that we need to become what He made us to be. We must search for His thought concerning our life and live it, rather than chasing after iconic figures to be like them.

The devil can sow contrasting ideas to distract you and to make you lose focus. But always know that, God had an original plan for your life, and that can never be aborted. Before you BECAME anything, you were first FORMED! Your formation was God's idea, and the in-formation of your birth was sent through your parents. Even before creation, God had you in mind. THERE WAS FORMATION BEFORE IN-FORMATION

Title: There was formation before in-formation
Scripture: Jeremiah 1:5, NLT

"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."

As we grow, our dreams become bigger and wider. And if we are not careful we can deviate from our original purpose. But no matter how nice your dream may sound, or how detailed your set goals may be, note that:
1)God knew you already. 2) Set you apart. 3) Appointed you.

So before you think of achieving any major goal in life, first ask yourself, What was God thinking before I was formed in my mother's womb? If we will all come to know God's original intent for our lives, there would be less of the "I want-to-be-better-than you" syndrome that is destroying many people. God knew you before you were born. Which means that He had an original plan for your life.
There was a FORMATION of you by God, before your mother received the IN-FORMATION (signal), that you were inside her womb. You are not a mistake! AB@TWDevotional

GOD IS NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!

Title: God is not finished with you!
Scripture: Jeremiah 33:10-11, NIV

"This is what the Lord says: 'You say about this place, It is a desolate waste, without people or animals.' Yet in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are deserted, inhabited by neither people nor animals, there will be heard once more the sounds of joy and gladness, the voice of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord saying, 'Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good; his love endures forever.' For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before, says the Lord."

There comes a time in life when we feel God is not listening anymore, or feel the enemy is caught up with us and destroyed all we so cherish. We may even feel like throwing in the towel because, we wonder why we have prayed so much and God seems not to be answering. The tank is empty but God is saying today that, what you lost and are seeking to regain will be restored to you once more. EN@TWDevotional

YOU HAVE SOMETHING

Title: You also have something
Scripture: Matthew 25:15

"And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man ACCORDING TO HIS SEVERAL ABILITIES.

Some people want to get to big positions before they put in their best effort. This doesn't help them to rise any higher. If you are able to shine even in obscurity, then it means that when you are brought into the lamp light you won't struggle to shine. Don't expect to reach a higher level before giving your best shot, because it might be too late. Make sure you do your very best, now that you are not well known. For very soon when God brings you into prominence, you may not be able to make amends.

There is something you carry, that no one else can take away. God formed you and placed it in you. It has been uniquely purposed to help you fulfill your divine mandate on earth. Don't lose guard, use what you have now to get what you desire in the future. Some may have received five or two talents. But at least you also have something. AB@TWDevotional

WHO HAS SENT YOU?

Title: Who has sent you?
Scripture: Exodus 3:13-14

"But Moses protested, if I go to the people of Israel and tell them, The God of your ancestors has sent me to you, they will ask me, What is his name? Then what should I tell them? God replied to Moses, I Am Who I Am. Say this to the people of Israel: I AM has sent me to you."

Who has sent you? In whose name have you come? At some point in your life, you shall meet your Pharaoh. Your Pharaoh can be that stubborn situation that won't go. Or that challenge that you are struggling to overcome. Scenario: Someone is arrested and whiles in police custody, he  tells them of his relation with a prominent person in society and gives them his name. Immediately he is released! The secret was in the name.

The person whose name was mentioned need not to be there physically, but because of his name the man is set free. How much more the All-powerful God? No matter the situation you may be in, declare, "I come in the name of I AM." And may God deliver you from any Pharaoh! AB@TWDevotional

YOU KNOW THE NAME RIGHT?

Title: You know the name right?
Scripture: John 8:56-58, NLT

"Your father Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad." The people said, "You aren't even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?" Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!"

This statement was meant to silence those critics who thought of Jesus as too young to say the kind of things He said. "In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God. And the WORD was God." So if God tells Moses His name is I AM. And Jesus is the word of God that became flesh and dwelt amongst us; and He is also God, then you must understand why Jesus said "before Abraham was born, I AM." Note that He didn't say I WAS.

This shows His relevance even in our current dispensation. He is the ancient of days and yet still omnipresent. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. If you ask me who He is, I will tell you His name is I AM. The never changing God! I know His name, do you? Selah! AB@TWDevotional

WHO IS HE TO YOU?

Title: Who is he to you?
Scripture: Mark 8:27-30, NLT

"As they were walking along, he asked them, Who do people say I AM? Well, they replied, some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say you are one of the other prophets. Then he asked them, But who do you say I AM?"

Until you catch a personal revelation of who Christ is, you could be distracted by the views of others. People have a lot to say about who God is, but you must be convinced deep within your heart about who he is. Your relationship with Him will give you a revelation of His person. And when others ask you about your God, you would have a good report to give.

Jesus never suffered from identity crisis. He knew who HE WAS, but He wanted to see if through His relationship with His disciples, they had caught the revelation of who HE IS. Peter answered well and said, "You are Christ; which also means the Messiah." He came as the saviour and that was the revelation Peter had. Now who is He to you too? Don't limit Him. He is the GREAT I AM! AB@TWDevotional

CAN YOU DRINK POISON? (RELOADED)

"Get rid of all BITTERNESS, rage, anger, harsh words and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you."(Eph. 4:31-32, NLT) There's an urgent need to get rid of BITTERNESS especially in the church. Because of it, many people are dying slowly from the inside. BITTERNESS: "Drinking poison and hoping someone else dies." Its that serious. Therefore you are being warned to guard your heart with all diligence. Many ministries have been divided, homes and marriages have been broken. Family ties have been destroyed. Good friends have been separated. People have lost their jobs and all that because of bitterness. It is more of a root issue than a fruit matter. It goes deep down and not on the surface. You may not see it showing outwardly but it can cause serious internal damages. The more you harbor bitterness, the more it destroys you. Guard your heart! AB@TWDevotional

NEVER LOSE FOCUS!

Title: Never lose focus
Scripture: Matthew 14:28-31, NLT

"Then Peter called to him, "Lord, if it's really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water." Yes, come, Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. "Save me, Lord!" he shouted. Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. You have so little faith, Jesus said. Why did you doubt me?"(Matt. 14:28-31, NLT).

Sometimes everything would be going on well, until something unexpected hits you. It could be sickness, financial handicap, divorce, a break-up in a relationship or termination of an appointment. All these things can drown and drain you. Therefore I suggest you have R.E.S.T in Jesus. You must have RESILIENCE, ENDURANCE, STAMINA, and TENACITY. You must stay focused no matter the storm that comes your way. Jesus wants you to know that He can even walk on whatever frightens you. So keep looking at Him; don't lose focus and you won't sink. GOD HAS A TATTOO?

Title: God has a tattoo?
Scripture: Isaiah 49:16, NLT

"See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem's walls in ruins."

It would be hard for God to forget about you once He has your name written in His palms. Its so amazing how concerned He is about us, and we sometimes fail to see. Look at another version: "Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of) you on the palm of each of My hands; (O Zion) your walls are continually before Me."(AMP)

God has your concern and well-being at heart. Your thoughts have filled His mind; and they are thoughts of good not evil. He doesn't just know you; He also knows you by name. You are constantly on His mind, because your name is engraved in His palms. Whenever He opens His hands to do anything or release any blessing, He sees your name boldly written (like a tattoo), then He makes you taste of His goodness. If God would ever be accused of having a tattoo, then it would be a picture of you-His special one!

"When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour."(Ps. 8:3-7).

Sometimes I get overwhelmed by the extent to which God loves us. Behold what manner of love the father has given unto us. That we should be called the sons of God! His love for you is unsearchable and He hides you in his bossom never to be harmed. He proves His love by having your name written in His palms. But even come to think of it, how can he write in his palms since he is a Spirit? But this is not to be taken literally, because some people would want to do their own things and justify it. Don't be misled. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth! You're special to God and He has you on His mind. And thats all that matters. WHEN HOPE BECOMES DIFFICULT

..."Even when there was no reason for HOPE, Abraham kept hoping-believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, "That's how many descendants you will have!" Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises."(Rom. 4:18, 20-21, NLT). Sometimes our HOPE may waver, because we cannot seem to see beyond our "reality". In a while, we lose focus of what was told us. Abraham left his Father's house at age 75 in HOPE, and 25 years down the line nothing had happened. But he still had HOPE. He humbly obeyed persistently in expectation awaiting God's promises. Today he's a Father to both Jews and Gentiles. If only we will also hope against all hope; to Humbly Obey and Persevere with Expectation, God will surely come through for us. You may have lost some things, but its time to HOPE again! Start now...Priscy@TWDevotional

NEVER GET DISAPPOINTED!

Title: Never get disappointed
Scripture: Psalm 40:4

"Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust"(Ps. 40:4).

Many of us sometimes expect so much from others that, we get disappointed when they fail to deliver. We should bear in mind that, people are not super beings but MERE HUMANS. They may promise; but in as much as they may mean well, circumstances can cause them to disappoint. Their failure to deliver can get to us so much that, we may become bitter, angry or grow cold towards them. But the Bible warns us;  "Cursed are those who put their trust in MERE HUMANS, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord." (Jer. 17:5).

This is not to say we should not trust the people in our lives. But the emphasis is on 'Not to put our trust in them and get to a point where we rely on them other than God'. That will result in a curse! "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man."(Ps. 118:8). People are MERE HUMANS and anything is possible. Rather rely on God and you shall never be disappointed! AB@TWDevotional

ARE YOU WILLING OR OBEDIENT

Title: Are you willing or obedient?
Scripture: Isa. 1:19

"If ye be WILLING and OBEDIENT, ye shall eat the good of the land..."

I see these two things as key elements when it comes to receiving blessings from God. Your willingness to receive from Him and your obedience to His instructions, together would cause His blessings to overflow in your life. You can't do one and leave the other. Many people seem to have the willingness to be blessed but are not being obedient.

"Be careful to obey all the commands I am giving you today. Then you will live and multiply, and you will enter and occupy the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors." (Deut. 8:1). "If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world."(Deut. 28:1).

Some blessings may have delayed, simply because we are not being obedient in some area of our life, even though we may be willing. Remember to obey is better than to sacrifice! AB@TWDevotional

KNOWING THE MESSENGER!

Title: Knowing the messenger
Scripture: John 10:27, AMP

"The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to MY VOICE; and I know them, and they FOLLOW ME."

Sometimes it may seem to you that the messenger and the message are hard to identify, but they are ALWAYS right by you. How many times have we not covered our heads with pillows to dawn preachers? Or ignored the beggar at the traffic lights? How many times have we allowed our radio dials to scan on when it stops at that gospel channel? We need to cultivate the attitude of being eager to hear and listen to the Word of God.

"All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."(2 Tim 3:16, NIV). In today's world, God is dropping loads of messages by us, be it home, at school, or at work. If only you'll understand that His word is His breath you'll not go through each day without listening and following HIS VOICE. The messenger is here right now, I pray that you will HEAR him and FOLLOW Jesus. Shalom! EN@TWDevotional

LISTEN TO YOUR DONKEY!

Title: Listen to you donkey?
Scripture: Numbers 22:28, NLT

"Then the Lord gave the donkey the ability to speak...".

God can use different means to speak or draw our attention to some things. In church, he may use your pastor to send a specific message to you. In your workplace, he may use your boss to keep you in check. In your relationship, he may use your beloved to warn you. In your marriage he may use your husband/ wife to speak wisdom to you. Which ever way  it may come, see it as God speaking to you. We may see them as normal and their means of transmission as not being spectacular, so we ignore them and miss out on the word from God.

Don't disregard the messenger and ignore the message. It could be your word in season. The packaging may not be as you may expect, but the content has value. God is speaking to many hearts on certain issues but they seem not to get it because they are expecting it to come in some refined way. But if God could make a donkey speak, then you must not despise whoever God sends to you. AB@TWDevotional

HOPE REINFORCEMENT!

Title: Hope reinforcement
Scripture: Psalm 146:5

"But JOYFUL are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose HOPE is in the Lord their God."(NLT). "BLESSED are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose HOPE is in the Lord their God."(NIV) "Instead, get help from the God of Jacob, put your HOPE in God and know REAL BLESSING!"(MSG). "HAPPY (blessed, fortunate, enviable) is he who has the God of (special revelation to) Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God."(AMP).

From today's text, we clearly see that, for us to be happy, joyful, and blessed, then we must turn to God. When you have the God of Jacob(Israel) as your HELP and HOPE then all these things shall follow you. Who do you go to for help? And in whom have you put your hope? It could be the reason why you are either happy or sad. There's real joy and blessing when you hope in the Lord. "And now Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee."(Ps. 39:7). Strenthen your hope in the Lord your helper, and you shall be happy and blessed! AB@TWDevotional

WHERE IS YOUR H.O.P.E?

Title: Where is your Hope?
Scripture: John 9:6-7, NLT

"Then he spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man's eyes. He told him, "Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam"(Siloam means SENT). So the man went and washed and came back seeing!"

For many of us what may have delayed our miracle is that we are H.O.P.E deficient. There is a saying that 'keep hope alive' and its very important. "Hope doesn't disappoint..."(Rom. 5:5). It maketh not ashamed! What is this H.O.P.E? The blind man aided the release of his own miracle by his: Humility.Obedience.Perseverance&Expectation. Jesus spat on the ground and made a mixture of saliva and mud and applied it on his eyes. He received the treatment in HUMILITY. He was asked to go and wash it off in a "particular pool"(SENT) and he OBEYED. He might have had challenges going because he was still blind but he never gave up but PERSEVERED. Because he had an EXPECTATION to see, and he did. You too need H.O.P.E to release that miracle! AB@TWDevotional
