Our focus this week has been to look at covenants and how necessary they are in our walk as Christians. We started by saying that, when God makes a covenant with a man, there are no breakages. We continued and saw the need for each individual to be in God's covenant family. We found out that, there is a direct correlation between a covenant and a sacrifice. Where there is a covenant, it is likely to see some of sacrifice. The sacrifice could be, a sacrifice of pain, a sacrifice of praise, or even a sacrifice of place. God never changes, neither does His word. It is forever settled in Heaven. "Now when people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding. God also bound Himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that He would never change His mind. So God has given both His promise and His oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie..." (Heb. 6:16-18,NLT) He is THE COVENANT KEEPING GOD!
