Sometimes as hard as it may be, you may have to allow certain things to go in order to enjoy life. You can't keep holding on to the past and its regrets. It is time to change clothes! Here is how David handled a painful loss in his life. "Then on the seventh day the child died. David's advisers were afraid to tell him. He wouldn't listen to reason while the child was ill, they said. What drastic thing will he do when we tell him the child is dead? When David saw them whispering, he realized what had happened. Is the child dead? he asked. Yes they replied, he is dead. Then David got up from the ground, washed himself, put on lotions, and CHANGED HIS CLOTHES. He went to the Tabernacle and worshiped the Lord..."(2 Sam. 12:18-20,NLT) The enemy is happy when you appear depressed, frustrated, and miserable. But just like David, get back up and change your countenance. God has greater things ahead of you, so replace the spirit of heaviness with the garment of praise. Change your clothes!
