WORDS SERIES- WHAT IS IN YOUR MOUTH?
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth: but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: FOR THEN thou shalt make thy way prosperous, AND THEN thou shall have good success."(Jos. 1:8,NLT) Joshua was to take over from Moses and lead the people of Israel into the promise land.This was not an easy task, but God promised He would be with him. God told him exactly what to do to have good success. "...Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do."(V7,NLT) Then God quickly added: "This book of the law shall not depart OUT OF THY MOUTH..." This simply means that, for Joshua to be successful, he had to constantly meditate on the word. In the face of opposition, he was to speak the word and not his mind.
