EAGLE SERIES (2)-ANOINTING FOR WORK!
"Then he poured some anointing oil on Aaron's head, anointing him and making him holy for his work" (Lev. 8:12,NLT) Moses had to anoint Aaron as high priest because of the special duties he would perform. Such as being in the most holy place in the tabernacle. Interestingly, an eagle also anoints itself for new escapades. After her beak, talons, feathers and claws are grown again, the eagle grooms itself and waterproofs its feathers by a process called preening. She preens by pressing regularly an oil gland at the base of her tail with her beak. And this oil is worked into her feathers to shine and glisten in sunlight. So is the anointing we receive from the Holy Spirit. "So God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power..."(Acts 10:38a, NLT) Your anointing releases the potential in you for greater works.
