Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loveth at all times...". Some people haven't differentiated between who is a friend and who is not. They put everyone under the umbrella of "my friend". But that shouldn't be the case. In my own simple definition, "a friend may be someone who shares common beliefs and interests with you and who would be willing to stick with you in sorrow and in joy."
Some people are just "fair weather friends", who come and go depending on your current state. Once it is a bit challenging, they disappear and rear their ugly heads once they see you making progess. This makes it prudent then, to select your friends and not to let others choose you. Even Jesus did, how much more you? Even though a lot of people were crowded around Him most times, He chose those He ate at the same table with. Those whose feet He could wash. And those He spent time with on the lonely dark mountains. You must also choose wisely! There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother: he loves at all times. @ABTru-worshipa
