1 Kings 18:44b,46 "Then Elijah shouted "Hurry to Ahab and tell him, 'Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don't hurry, the rain will stop you!". Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab's chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel."(NLT). There are somethings that humanly speaking no man could do, unless aided by some supernatural force.
Our scripture today is an example. There is no way Elijah could outrun chariot of the King by his strength. Not to mention it being the best in town, since it was being used by the King himself. When the hand of God comes upon a man, it causes him to do things which the carnal mind can not comprehend. Samson was also able to kill thousands of men with just the jawbone of an ass.
