Genesis 12:2 "I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others." God gave Abraham these words at the age of 75, when he asked him to leave his father's house. And now in Gen. 17:1-14, When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appears to him and re-establishes his covenant with him. That he would be a father of many nations when He couldn't even boast of a single child.
No wonder Sarah laughed when the angel said, she was going to bear a son. As if to say "God must be kidding me." Sometimes between the time of a promise to the time it is fulfilled, so many challenges may come that can cause one to loose hope. Whenever God delays, it doesn't mean that He has forgotten to deliver. It could mean what He is bringing to you is too huge that, the packaging has taken quite some time. And too heavy that, one dispatch wouldn't be able to make the delivery. When you wait on the Lord, you shall never faint in life. @ABTruworshipa
