DO YOU KNOW YOUR REAL FRIENDS?
This is still a hard truth, but the Lord has laid it on my heart to share with us, so we know the kind of people we associate with or call friends. Here are a few ways to test fake friends: They are quick to leave you when they see you are in trouble or need help. "My loved ones and friends stay away, fearing my disease. Even my own family stands at a distance."(Ps. 38:11) They only stay with you once they know you are rich or have something they want. "The poor are despised even by their neighbors, while the rich have many friends."(Pr. 14:20) They always cause confusion and conflicts whenever they are around. "A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best friends."(Pr. 16:28) They can't let go but hold on to grudges. "Love propers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends."(Pr. 17:9) They don't let others know you are friends when in public.
