DON'T DESPISE ME!

  • Luke 7:39 "When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, 'if this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of woman is touching him. She's a sinner!" A story in Luke where Jesus was visited to a Pharisee's house. At dinner, this "immoral woman" well-known in the city walks in and without permission from anyone, begins to minister at the feet of Jesus.
Whiles the people at table saw her outward personality and condemned her, Jesus saw her inward identity and commended her. The pharisee even doubted Jesus being a prophet, because he thought Jesus should have seen the obvious. How many times havent we done same? We rule others out and disregard them, only to realise later that these same people are ministering to Jesus and He is enjoying it. When we see that, out of embarassment we say things like "God doesn't know the kind of person this guy really is". But God looks beyond physical appearance, and sees the depths of the heart. Don't be a stumbling block in church. @ABTru-worshipa
