Let’s look at something short in Proverbs 15:1. "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger". I have a personal experience with this text. Anytime someone approached me in anger, a soft response I gave made him or her calm down. The truth about anger is that, it is stirred up if you also respond to the other person in the same way they approached you.
But as children of God we have to be at peace with all men. We must be meek in spirit and remember gentleness/meekness is a fruit of the spirit that we should desire. It is true some people are naturally annoying but how will you know you have self-control if you don’t have them around to teach you how to grow and be patient with others. Today be careful how you answer anyone who is angry with you and beware of those who irritate you the most, because your anger can cause you to miss an opportunity to be blessed.
