Jeremiah 12:5 "If thou hast run with footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?"(KJV). Sometimes the difficulties we face are meant to draw out the virtues that God placed in us. Our natural body would always assume a state of rest until some external force is exerted, that would cause it to move forward.
God expects us to come out of every trial and challenge better than we were before. Some of us give up too easily and we almost quit when we face the slightest opposition. But our text today is asking an important question that "if racing against mere men makes you tired, how will you race against horses? If you stumble and fall on open ground, what will you do in the thickets near the Jordan?" (NLT). I know you have the inner tenacity to withstand the days of bad weather.
